"Little Lehigh Creek is 2.46 feet at Allentown and flowing at 114 cubic feet per second, which is normal for this time of year... The recent rains has helped, water is 50 degrees and fishing is good... Sucker spawn, blue-winged olive emergers are the hot patterns right now.. Midges, Craneflies and some Baetis are hatching... Delaware River - Shad fishing is still good, as far as fly fishing for them, now would be a good time to be out there... I recently was out for shad on the fly and landed 9... You need a super fast sinking head to get down to them... I use alot of large brightly colored wooly buggers, that I tye... Salmon River New York - Steelhead all over the upper fly stretch!!!! some fresh ones being caught... This weekend was a great weekend for them... patterns working were sucker spawn, large wooly buggers, and "dry flies". Huge drop backs. Caught mostly males. Perfect morning,good weather, and lots of Fish. Vieques has a fabulous fishery and anyone serious about flyfishing the flats should make a point of visiting Vieques. It doesn't get much better... Although the average bonefish size is a little smaller than ours, there are plenty of them in a totally pristine surrounding... Gregg poled me around several flats and in just a few hours I had shots at 6 Permit, dozens of Bones and even caught a hefty Mutton Snapper... Not catching Permit is something you get used to but I had forgotten the thrill of watching my backing disappear off my reel as a Vieques Bonefish goes nuclear... Greg will be accepting bookings in Vieques through July and we will both be back on our respective Islands November of 08... Fish the best of both worlds Culebra/Vieques...
